It is no wonder that the season of autumn has become known as fall, because the temperature drops as if the mercury simply felt too exhausted to hold itself up in wavering red extension and then plummets down through the earth's crust only to erupt within a day by seeping red and yellows into almost every bit of green.
And then a land of emerald turns into a land of gold, though I don't believe the men and women who settle here so long ago had this kind of gold in mind. Maybe they felt themselves luckier this way.
